Our Sustainability

Our Sustainability

From the earliest years, we nurture a love and respect for the environment by making sustainable practices a natural part of our daily routines.

Children learn about recycling, worm farms, composting, gardening and energy conservation through hands-on activities that spark curiosity and build enduring habits.

These experiences not only reduce our environmental footprint but also empower our children to become thoughtful caretakers of the planet. We believe that teaching children to care for the world around them is one of the greatest gifts we can give. By embedding eco-friendly habits into our curriculum, we prepare children for a future where environmental awareness and responsibility are essential.

Our children collect fresh eggs from our heritage chickens, tend to herbs and vegetables in our gardens and see their efforts come full circle as these ingredients are used in our freshly made delicious, seasonal meals.

We invite families to join us in this journey – whether it’s donating vegetable scraps for our chickens or sharing ideas for new sustainability projects.

Together, we’re raising a generation of confident, compassionate children who value and protect the natural world.

Guided learning and hands on sustainability activities throughout the year include:

Composting
Worm Farms
Noongar Bush Tucker
Seasonal seed Planting of Vegetables and Herbs
